Pokemon Tier List PS4 Real SoonFocus mainly on PC games, and planning to get a PS4 real soon. Some are good at attacking, while others are great at defenses. Either way keep on reading for more information on the best Pokemon in Sword and Shield. I felt that both of these categories merited special mention beyond just placing them in good or wherever. I like having special categories for the Good Early, Good Late, and Too Late. It covers a lot of the issues with other lists (Like Mightyena in Gen 6 is absolutely fine just not Elite 4 Material usually. Id maybe move BeautiflyDustox up to the good early category but maybe the band on which theyre good is too narrow. Mess system bios roms for messLess this generation than most, but I think Wobuffet generally belongs in the good late category. Super late game nearly every battle is known in advance and you can look up movesets. Wobuffet just absolutely destroys certain pokemon (for example both Flygons and Salamence for Drake). Its a lot worse against random trainers, or if your playing blind. Share Report Save level 2 1 year ago I think the main issue with Wobb is that Grinding him is an absolute pain in the ass, what with the Wild pokemon using Status Moves, being too weak to deal significant damage, and sometimes even just wrong prediction. Good at handling threats, but hard to get it to the point in which it even can. I didnt want to put the latecomers in excellent, but just putting them in the decent category with no explanation seemed wrong too. I thought about Beautifly and Dustox for Good Early, but the issue is theyre so weak to the early gyms. Dustox is weak to two of the first four, and Beautifly is weak to three of the four. But I can see the argument for using them, at least for a while (Dustox a bit more so). As for Wobbuffet, thats one of the toughest placements on any of these lists. Personally, I wouldnt be comfortable using a pokemon that can only react and never proactively attack. And, as uDragonFirePie pointed out, the grinding is a real pain, as you get it as a level 1 egg around the fourth gym. If it were me, I woulndt bother raising it up, and if youre not looking things up, its pretty much completely unusable unless youre reeeeally confident in your guessing abilities. But your point is absolutely valid as well--its gotta be nice to just have something that can get some high-profile, low-risk kills. Maybe it needs its own category 1 Share Report Save level 1 Original Poster 1 year ago Hey nuzlocke friends After seeing a few other tier listsviability rankings around the sub (popularized, I believe, by uFlameGerbil ), I decided to try my hand at one of my own. FG did a great one for Ruby Sapphire, but things are a little different for ORAS, thanks to expanded pokemon availability, expanded movesets, and the physicalspecial split. A couple of notes: Everything here is for the main story, the postgame is not included. All the non-Hoenn natives you see here are from the Mirage spots that show up after defeating KyogreGroudon. Other pokemon also appear on various routes via the DexNav, but I did not include those, since Im assuming by that point your encounters on those routes will have been used. I made special note of the pokemon that are good options to help late in the game (8th gym and beyond), and those that are great early teammates but will fall off late in the game.
